Closure of the outdoor area/pathways to the rock carvings

As winter approaches and we’ve already experienced snow and ice in the area outside tje museum, we at Alta Museum still want to give you the opportunity to visit the rock carvings as long as it is safe. We will assess the conditions daily and keep you informed about whether it is safe to make the trip to the rock art.

Your safety is our top priority, but when the weather and conditions allow, we will reopen the pathways for visits. Feel free to contact us in advance for an update – we’re happy to assist!
